A fellow Navy wife once told me that "the wheels of the Navy seem to move so slowly at times that it seems as though they have not moved at all." Now I know what she means!
However, I got a call yesterday from the base stating that my passport is in! Hooray! I now have to apply for my Italian Visa and wait for it to return. I was told it would take 1-2 weeks. Then I will be scheduled a flight. I am thrilled. I must say that the wheels moved a little faster than I had imagined. I was originally told that my passport would take 4-6 weeks to be processed. It arrived in exactly 4 weeks! Go Navy!
