Buona Pasqua! (Happy Easter!)

We had a wonderful first Easter with Grant. On Sunday we dressed him up in his Peter Rabbit outfit along with his bunny ears hat. After church we opened his Italian Easter egg. It was a giant chocolate egg with a Winnie the Pooh toy inside.

We also went to a cookout with a bunch of our neighbors. The kids had an Easter egg hunt and jumped in a bounce house. Grant didn't seem too upset that he couldn't jump in the bounce house as he napped for most of the party.

The day before Easter Grant went to his first birthday party. One of Grant's friends was turning one. This party had an Easter egg hunt also as well as an appearance of the Easter bunny. Grant was asleep for part of the party as well as he is sleeping in the picture with the Easter bunny. Needless to say, it was a very eventful weekend!

Busy times

We are still here! We've just been busy. We have a lot going on lately. Where to begin?

We went out to eat with four other couples to celebrate the 11 year wedding anniversary of one of the couples. Rather than go out to eat alone they decided they wanted to make it a party. We all went to an Agriturismo. This is a restaurant that is also a farm. Everything you eat for your meal is fresh and is grown right there on the land, including the meat! It was delicious. We all left full from this five course meal.



Also Grant and I went to a ladies retreat with our church last weekend. Grant was the only little man there! All the ladies went to Nicolosi, a town near Mt. Etna. Although it was only for one night, it was good girlfriend bonding time.

This week we are getting ready for Grant's first Easter. Several of the ladies and I went to the local mall to get Italian Easter goodies for our kiddos. The most popular item for Italians kids for Easter is a big chocolate egg filled with prizes. I got one for Grant that had a Winnie-the Pooh theme. It will be interesting to see what's inside. Also on Sunday a large group of us from our neighborhood are getting together to cook-out and have an Easter egg hunt for the kids.



So needless to say we are busy but are having a wonderful Spring season full of fun times. We hope that you have a wonderful Easter as well!

I'm 3 months old!

For some reason my momma hasn't written on her blog in awhile. I guess it's because she's been busy taking my picture ALL the time. Here's me with my bear for my three month old picture. Also I'm wearing my first pair of jeans in this picture. I'm stylin'!
